According to  PECB (https://pecb.com),   an ISO compliant is an organization that implements the ISO standards without undergoing an external audit. Because of this, PECB stated that “any organization can implement the standard and claim to be compliant”. On the other hand,  an ISO certified organization is one that  implements the ISO standards and “has been proven to be truly compliant by an independent organization known as a certification body”. According to PECB , ” If an organization meets the requirements and is recommended for certification, then the certification is awarded for a period of three years.  During that time, the organization must undergo annual surveillance audits.”.
